Ingredients are the chemical substances that compose a product. When you record an ingredient for a product, you enable users to find and view that product when searching for that ingredient or running reports based on ingredients. If you have access to list matching features, recording a product's ingredients also enables you to see whether that product contains any ingredients cited by regulatory lists.
Edit a product's ingredients when you need to add, edit, or delete any of its recorded ingredients. For each recorded ingredient you can enter or edit its name, CAS number, amount within the product, and any desired additional note.
Note: Editing a product's ingredients has no effect on the primary CAS number recorded in its primary information.
